You have no idea how encouraging this word is to me. I feel like I'm living every word you wrote right now. Great words with a perfectly simple and powerful point. Thanks Pam!

I found your blog while my husband and I were registering for the Sept conference at New Life.
This blog post is inspirational to me. I have been married to a pastor for 12 years. Learning to be a "carrier" of God's love has been a struggle for me at times.......especially to love the ones that hurt me (or my husband).
Thanks for sharing....your words have inspired me.

No coincidence that I just read this today! Even as I look back and see that you wrote this back in August, today is the day that I needed to hear the message. Thank you for being God's willing servant, Pam, and stopping to pray for all the single Christians you know, of whom I am one! On the last day of this month, it will 6 years since my non-believer ex-husband walked out on me and our 4 children. I have heard your prayer and will re-commit to waiting on God's perfect Jeremiah 29:11 timing. Bless you!!

Thank you so much for your prayers! Habakkuk 2:3 continues to bring me back on track and bring me hope as I wait, but it's not always easy. I so appreciate you and your wonderful leadership!

Thank you for posting. It is so easy to become caught up with life that we push caring for our hearts to the back burner and allow for the weeds to grow out of control. Especially when we've overloaded our calendar's or wear too many hats. Our activities become the weeds that choke out the garden of our heart because we exchange doing stuff for properly caring for our heart.

Thought provoking and motivation for self evaluation.

Taking this wisdom to heart is the only way we ever find true freedom and give God access to our hearts. It's the only way we will ever find ourselves in authentic relationship. I love you and enjoyed reading this. oxox!!

Great post! Especially in these times in which many women are compelled to suit society's standards. I'm grateful to have a wonderfully accepting God - that even in all my shortcomings, He still loves me. Thanks for being a shining light amidst the obscurity that we are tempted to dwell in.

I love living in a place of abandonment to God. Its whatever He desires and wants for me that is my goal... It becomes much easier to just allow Him to open all the doors for us and the we don't have to worry about "doing" anything for him. We just follow His lead! "I will boast in the Lord.."
Having worked in a Christian school for 8 years, I can confirm your thoughts on how kids are raised in the home is ultimately how they will be. Parents are the primary examples for their kids (whether they realize it or not) and we set the tone for their life views. What a privilege to put God first in our lives for the sake of our children!
Have a blessed day, Pam! I know you're a great mom!
